Artist in residence at Lumsden Beach Camp, Shaunna Dunn engaged four artists in her land based, child inclusive practice in the Summer of 2021 through her Artist’s in Communities project supported by the Saskatchewan Arts Board. We concluded the summer’s explorations on the land with the campers by having an exhibition at the Elsie Scherle Gallery of their art and collaborations with the guest artists. At this event I engaged the campers in Plein Air needle felting and with foraging of plant and earth pigments for bundle dyeing.
